Tracking work on the Pipeline board

4 min read Updated August 4, 2026Last reviewed October 6, 2026

Pipeline puts every opportunity and every booking on one board, so you can see the whole run of work from an open posting through to a delivered event. Find it under Marketplace → Pipeline.

The board is read-only. Nothing you do on this page moves a card. There is no drag-and-drop — the affordance in the header is explicitly marked "Soon" — and no stage dropdown. A card moves when the record underneath it changes somewhere else: an opportunity is approved, a booking is paid, an event is delivered. The board is a mirror of that, never a control for it.

Access is gated on the Bookings permission, not Marketplace. That is deliberate — the board is mostly bookings, and it is the bookings module that decides whether you can see it. Without it you get a plain "ask an organization admin for the Bookings permission" message.

The five stages

StageWhat sits here
Opportunities OpenPosted and seeking talent — not yet booked.
Booking In ProgressDraft, pending approval or awaiting payment.
ConfirmedPaid and locked in.
CompletedEvent delivered.
ClosedCancelled, rejected, expired, disputed or refunded.

The exact mapping, so you can predict where anything will land:

Bookings. Draft, Pending Approval and Pending Payment → Booking In Progress. Confirmed → Confirmed. Completed → Completed. Cancelled, Disputed and Refunded → Closed.

Opportunities. Draft, Awaiting Review, Changes Requested and Live → Opportunities Open. Rejected, Expired and Cancelled → Closed.

An opportunity that reaches Booked or Filled leaves the board entirely. That is not a bug. It has become a booking, and the booking is already on the board — showing both would count the same real deal twice. So when you convert an application, watch the card move out of Opportunities Open and a new booking card appear in Booking In Progress.

The cards

Each card shows the title, its own status badge, whether it is a Booking or an Opportunity, the event date and a reference code. Bookings show their agreed amount; opportunities show their budget range, or nothing at all if no budget was set — an unbudgeted opportunity is left blank rather than shown as zero.

Each column shows its first five cards; Show all (N) opens the rest, and Show fewer puts them away. Closed starts collapsed, showing only how many cards it holds — open it when you need it. The order puts the next thing to deal with on top: in Opportunities Open, Booking In Progress and Confirmed, upcoming events come soonest first, then any whose date has already passed (most recent first); in Completed and Closed, the most recent come first. Undated cards are always at the bottom. Clicking a card opens the record it came from.

The four counters

  • Open Opportunities — how many opportunities are sitting in Opportunities Open.
  • Active Bookings — bookings in Booking In Progress or Confirmed. Completed and closed bookings are not counted.
  • Pipeline Value — the total agreed amount of exactly those active bookings, shown as one total per currency (for example “$1,200 USD · $1,413 CAD”) — amounts in different currencies are never added together. Read this carefully: it counts bookings only. Opportunity budgets are not included, however large, because a budget is an intention and not money anyone has committed. It is also the agreed amount, not the total charged — the client service fee is not in this number.
  • Completed — bookings that have reached Completed.

The counters describe the whole board and do not change when you filter it.

Filtering

Three source buttons — All, Bookings, Opportunities — switch which kind of record is on the board. The workspace Filter bar at the top of the page adds a date range and a status. The status list is built from the cards actually on your board, so it mixes booking and opportunity statuses rather than offering you statuses nothing on screen could match.

Setting a date range hides any card with no date, since a card without a date cannot satisfy a range.

What this does not do yet

  • No drag-to-move. Marked "Soon" in the header.
  • No search box. Use the source buttons and the Filter bar, or the workspace-wide search.
  • No location filter. A card can come from a booking or an opportunity, and the two don't share a location field the board could filter on.
  • No custom stages. The five above are fixed.
