This guide explains how money reaches you on ARRIVE — from the moment a client books to the payout landing in your bank account.
Clients pay in full at booking
When a client books you, they pay the full amount up front. ARRIVE holds those funds securely with Stripe until after your event — so the money is committed before you perform, and you are protected.
Funds release after the event
Your payout is released after the event takes place. Funds are held for a short protection window and then auto-release to your payout balance about 72 hours after the event, unless a dispute is open. ARRIVE's commission is deducted automatically at this point, based on your plan — see What is the ARRIVE commission?
Getting the money to your bank
Payouts run through Stripe Connect. Once funds release to your balance, Stripe transfers them to your connected bank account on its standard schedule. You need a connected, verified payout account to receive money — see How to verify your bank account and How you receive your payouts.
Which currency you are paid in
You are paid in the currency of the booking — the currency your prices are in: US dollars, or Canadian dollars if you are based in Canada. ARRIVE does not convert it. If your bank account is in a different currency, Stripe or your bank converts it when the money lands.
What if I haven't set up Stripe yet?
You can still be booked. Bookings and events go ahead whether or not your payout account is connected — connecting Stripe is only required to receive your money, not to accept work.
If a booking is confirmed, or even completed, before you finish Stripe setup, nothing is lost. ARRIVE holds your funds securely on the platform, and as soon as you connect and verify your payout account, any held funds release to you automatically — you don't need to re-request them.
To avoid any delay, set up your payout account as early as you can — ideally before your event date. If a payout still looks delayed after you've connected and verified Stripe, contact ARRIVE Support and we'll help you sort it out.
If a booking is cancelled or refunded
If a client cancels, any refund follows ARRIVE's cancellation policy and your payout is adjusted accordingly — the earlier a client cancels, the more is refunded to them. See The cancellation policy.
Tracking your payouts
Check your payout status any time from the Payouts area of your dashboard, and view detailed transfer history in your Stripe dashboard.
