How Bookings Work for Performers

This guide explains how bookings happen on ARRIVE, from a client's first interest to the day of the event and your payout.

Three ways you get booked

  • A client books your service. When someone books one of your listed services and their payment is captured, you have a confirmed booking.
  • You win a gig. Clients post event requests, and you can apply with a quote from the Gigs feed in your dashboard. If the client selects you and pays, the gig becomes a confirmed booking.

What happens when you're booked

A booking is confirmed the moment the client's full payment is captured. ARRIVE holds those funds securely until after the event. You will see the booking in the Bookings area of your dashboard, where each one shows the event date, location, and amount.

Bookings move through clear stages:

  • Confirmed — payment is captured and the date is locked in. Get it in your calendar.
  • Completed — the event has taken place.
  • Cancelled — the booking was cancelled.

Before the event

Use ARRIVE messaging to confirm the details with the client — timings, location, set length, and any specific requests. Keeping everything on ARRIVE means your agreement and payment stay protected. If something about the booking needs to change, agree it with the client through messaging.

For a booking from an organization, message the venue from the booking's page on your dashboard, under Messages with …. It opens once you're selected and stays open until 14 days after the event. To change or cancel an organization booking, contact ARRIVE Support.

After the event and getting paid

Once the event is over, your payout is released to your connected bank account, with funds released automatically 72 hours after the event unless a dispute is opened. Learn more in How to verify your bank account and How you receive your payouts.

Cancellations

If a client cancels, ARRIVE's cancellation policy determines any refund — the earlier the cancellation, the more is refunded. See The cancellation policy.

An organization offers you a booking

A venue, agency or company using ARRIVE can book you directly: they pick you, pick one of your live services, and agree a fee. You get an offer — by email, and on your dashboard under Bookings — showing who they are, the date, the service, and exactly what you would be paid.

Nothing is charged to them and nothing is held in your calendar until you accept.

  • Accept — the organization pays, the booking is confirmed, and your payout releases about 72 hours after the event once you have both signed the agreement.
  • Decline — the date stays yours. You can leave them a note, and it is worth doing; they may come back with another date.

Offers expire

You have seven days to answer, or until 48 hours before the event, whichever comes first. The deadline is on the offer. If you haven't answered with a day to go, we'll remind you once — in your notifications, and by email if you've turned that on. The organization can also send you a reminder, at most once a day. If you do not answer, it lapses and the organization is free to book someone else — so an offer you are unsure about is still worth declining rather than leaving.

If the venue cancels or closes the event before you answer, the offer is withdrawn and you're told. Nothing is owed either way.

If two organizations ask you for the same date, whoever you accept first gets it; the other offer can no longer be accepted.

If you have not signed in before

Many performers were listed on ARRIVE by us. If that is you, the link in the email signs you in, attaches your profile to your account, and takes you straight to the offer. You do not need a password.
