Your profile photo is often the first thing a client notices, and it has a real impact on whether you get booked. ARRIVE reviews profile photos as part of approving your profile, so here is what we look for and how to put your best image forward.
Why we review profile photos
A clear, professional photo helps clients trust and choose you. Because every profile is reviewed before it goes live, your profile photo is checked along with the rest of your profile to make sure it represents you well and meets ARRIVE's standards.
What makes a strong profile photo
- Clear and in focus — sharp, well-lit, not blurry or pixelated.
- Actually you — a real photo of the performer or act. Not a logo: a logo cannot show you working, and it tells a client nothing about what they are booking.
- Professional — ideally showing you performing or in a performance-ready look.
- Appropriate — follows ARRIVE's community standards (see the Performer Code of Conduct).
What to avoid
- Low-resolution, dark, or heavily filtered images.
- Group shots where it is unclear who you are.
- Contact details, watermarks, or promotional text on the image.
This page is about what we approve and why. For image sizes, file formats, how your cover is cropped on different screens, and what belongs in your cover versus your gallery, see How to add photos, videos, and audio, which opens when you are signed in to your ARRIVE account.
